Intro.There is no other creation in this WORLD that can give true JOY, HAPPINESS, GLORY to our GOD. Only HUMAN, because we are the creation, created in the IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD. Paul in his letter to the Thessalonians instructed us how to live in order to please God.
1- MAKE YOUR LOVE INCREASE AND OVERFLOWING
Ch. 3:12 May the Lord make your LOVE increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.
a. LOVE increase- our love should grow in dealing with each other.
b. LOVE overflow- lets allow our love to reach out to the others and to everyone else.
2- WE SHOULD BE SANCTIFIED.
Ch. 4:3 It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality.
SANCTIFIED- hagiasmos gk. Means:
a. CONSECRATED- we are for God
b. PURIFIED OR CLEANSED- we are purified and cleansed by the blood of Jesus. We will offer ourselves to God with purity.
3- LEAD A QUIET LIFE.
Ch. 4:11 Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you.
QUIET LIFE. Keep still, refrain, cease, hold peace.
a. Living a peaceful life. Not indulging into quarrel.
b. Minding your own business.
c. Work with your hands. Be productive
CONCLUSION:
God has an emotion, we are the creation that can easily touch His heart. God is sad when we do wrong, and He will be happy and joyful when we do right. SO LET’S MAKE AN EFFORT TO LIVE A LIFE PLEASING TO GOD.
